:'(

This is another sad day for me. My dog, Muttzi, who has been with me for approximately 10 years...has been put to sleep today.

I guess I have been dreading this day for a long time. He has been bitten my aunt, my cousin, me, my dad and recently my mom. She needed stitches for her bite. But otherwise, he was such a happy-go-lucky dog, its just that sometimes instincts take over, and he bites. I'm sure gonna miss his windmill-like swinging of his tail, and the way he looks at you with those big eyes, and the way he looks at you that makes him look like he's grinning at you.

I'm gonna miss him alot.

Imagine...10 years...most dogs don't live that long, and he looked like he might go through another 5 years easy. 10 years of being my friend, being my companion when I feel really down and ignored.

I wonder what he felt, whether he felt betrayed at the last second.

I wonder, when he closed his eyes, whether he realises that he wouldn't wake up anymore.

That when he was taken to the vet, it was the last time he would see my house, my family, and my other dog Ren, who has been his best pal for years.

I wonder whether Ren notices his absense. And that it would be permanent. No longer will those two buddies play together, eat together, bark at strangers together, and occasionally go on a frenzy when a rat sneaks under the hood of the car.

She seems pretty normal, it looks like she's taken up his legacy of barking at strangers passing by.

Rest in peace, my dear dog. May your next life be more fortunate.
